The Boringphone is not boring by any means if you want to spend less time on your Smartphone and do some productive things for yourself. The new Boringphone is designed by the co-founder Alex Davidson, the startup company in New Zealand

The Boringphone is non-distracting because it does not have any social media apps or even the internet browser though it lets you use the basic functions which you require from a phone like calling, massaging, navigation and camera to click photos and some other tasks which a basic feature phone cannot perform.

What does Boringphone offer?

The Boring phone is a very simple Android device with the custom-inbuilt software on it. The software is designed to cut off the distraction and unwanted apps. The BoringPhone operating system is based on the open-source LineageOS, which makes the Boringphone simple and easy to use for everyone.

It comes with a few selected sets of pre-installed apps like calling, messaging, navigation, clock, FM radio Notepad, music app, and camera. The device does not even have the browsing app.

There is no apps store on the device to install apps, and this means that you cannot install any other apps. As per the company, BoringPhone OS supports over 100 languages so that everyone can use the device without any difficulty.

Boringphone with decent Specifications 

The Boringphone comes with a 5.5 inches full HD screen that is covered by Gorilla Glass 3 protection and built with an aluminum metal body. It runs on the Snapdragon 625 processor with 4GB of RAM and 32 GB of onboard storage, and the device Boringphone is backed with a capacity of 3080mAh battery. 

It bears a 12 Megapixel single rear-facing camera with an LED flash and a 5 Megapixel front camera to click photos and record videos. The device comes with a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm audio output jack, Bluetooth connectivity, FM Radio, clock, calendar, calculator, Notepad and a music player.


How does it perform?

The Boringphone is not a performance device like a high-end smartphone. Boringphone does all the things fantastically which it is supposed to do. The company uses Xiaomi’s Mi A1 device, the phone looks great, and the build is solid. The device feels comfortable to carry in hand as well.

The Boringphone is a balanced device with all the basic functions of a phone, and it is not overloaded as today’s Smartphone. You don’t get tempted to peep into your social media accounts like Snapchat, Twitter, Whatsapp, and Youtube, etc., frequently because it does not allow us to install the apps on the device.

The Boringphone can also be a good option for children, to get in touch with their parents and close ones when they are away from home. It might be “The first phone for children.”
